Athletics Updates

The Boys and Girls Swim teams each won 1st place at the Madison Sprint Relays this past Saturday. The girls team won by 42 points while the boys team won by a single point! The WBL swim meet at Defiance YMCA on Saturday is next up for the swim team.

The girls basketball team won a thriller last Thursday, when the team defeated Shawnee in overtime. The girls are now 11-6 on the year and will host Ottawa-Glandorf on Thursday.

The boys basketball team lost two games over the weekend to Shawnee and Ada. The boys team will play again this Tuesday, when Bluffton comes to Kenton High School. Tuesday will also be parents night for our boys team and the cheerleaders.

The Kenton Wrestlers had a successful weekend when they finished 7th at the North Union Invitational. Edler & Cook won first place in their respective weight classes, Mendoza took 3rd and Fitzgerald placed 4th. The wresters will travel to Pleasant High School this weekend for another tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The bowling team will be active this week as they host Elida on Monday at 5:30, USV boys only match on Tuesday at 6 and they host Celina on Thursday at 5pm. Matches are held at Hillcrest Lanes.

The Power Lifting team will also be in action this weekend, as they host their annual Regional Meet on Saturday in the Kenton High School Athletic Building.
