Youth Wrestling Updates

Kenton Youth Wrestling visited Lima Shawnee for a MVKWA Mini-Meet Sunday, Jan. 22nd, 2017. The team faced wrestlers from ten other teams from the area.
Anthony Hunt (4-0, 1 Pin), Kyle Ball (3-0, 1 TF, 2 Pins), Gavin Sealscott (3-0, 1 TF, 1 Pin), Isaiah Mundy (3-0, 1 Pin) and Kole Anspaugh (3-0, 1 TF) all went undefeated and placed first in their respective age and weight pairings.
Sealscott remains undefeated for the season with a 12-0 record at the 6 year old, 50 lb groups.
Kenton had eleven wrestlers place 2nd at the meet. Alannah Jackson (2 Pins), Mason Cook (2 Pins), Ronald Boyer (1 Pin), Jayden Mustain (1 Pin), Evan Elliott (1 Pin), Jace Broadstone, Karson Davis, Sebastian Pascual and Alexander Fields all went 2-1 for the day.  Tristen Hale (1 Pin) and Dylan Searson also took 2nd through tie-breaker criteria.
As a team, Kenton posted  record of 39-50. They had a total of 16 Pins, 3 Tech Falls, 97 Takedowns, 42 Near Fall points, 21 Reversals and 44 Escapes.
Jace Broadstone had a team high of 11 takedowns for the meet. Quinn Dyer also recorded his first pin for the season.
Youth wrestlers will be traveling to Beavercreek, Ohio next Sunday, Jan. 29th to compete against fourteen other teams from the Dayton area.
